Belconnen Community Men's Shed
Shed Being FramedShed as is

As requested by our keen gardeners Gordon has now installed a tap at the back to the shed, so Gardeners and Paul it’s time to get busy.

Working Bee's continue on Wednesday's and Saturdays and progress is moving right along. The internal walls to the toilet and kitchen areas are now up and undercoated. Backing for the kitchen area is underway, and there is a kitchen in a box right in the middle of the shed. The thrown has been unpacked and should be going in over the next week.

John our electrician has got most of the internal cabling in place. Next is the ceiling lights and there has been some mention of celling fans, that were not on the plan.

Paul as usual will be or has uploaded new photos of this week’s work. So if you can't get in and check it out, watch the photo history on the website. www.belconnenshed.com.au (just in case your forgot).

The plaster board lifter has been taken up by one of our readers and in return he has donated a bandsaw for cutting metal.

It's also nice to see the number of people coming along just to check out the work or say hi. Keep coming it’s always nice to show off what’s been done or what the plans are.

Speaking of visitors we usually have morning tea around 10:30 depending on where we are upto in the current job, if you can't help with the bee then come for morning tea. Just because the shed isn't officially open doesn't mean we are not a shed for men getting together.

I'll just shout the next bit to make sure everyone hears.......

THE SHED IS MORE ABOUT MEN HAVING SOMEWHERE TO MEET AND BE SOCIAL WITH OTHER MEN, THAN IT IS ABOUT THE WORK BEING DONE. Don't get me wrong the work is important, for many of the members it sets a common goal or purpose for the getting together.

For those that having trouble standing for periods of time we now have an ample supply of chairs.

Just as an after thought any of our shedders out there doing the Movember face growth, if so let me know and I will pass your details round in the next newsletter.  Just thought this deserve a mention after all it is dealing with health issuse that affect men.
