BCMS VISIT to Trainworks Museum Thirlmere NSW - Invite
Over the past six weeks trip suggestions were put forward by members (and sought) for consideration.
The suggestion to visit the Trainworks Museum received many positive responses during recent BCMS morning tea round table discussions, so on Friday 11th September BCMS will visit this museum.
Transport Arrangements and (draft) schedule
A 20 seat commuter bus (same one that took us to YVMS in May) with driver has been booked through Belconnen Community Services. Seats will be allocated on first-in, first-served basis.
Date: Friday 11th September 2015
Pick-up & Drop-off Location: At Shed, 32 Dallachy street Page
Bus Departure: 8.00 am – firm (if agreed possibly 7.30 am)
TRAIN WORKS: 11.00 am – 2.00 pm
Bus Return: Between 5.00 pm – and, at the very latest 6.00 pm
Bus: Gold coin donation
Entry: Expect at group rate of $15 each
Lunch: Options available for groups (> 15) from 7.50 each, or maybe a counter lunch or alternatively bring individually.
If you plan to attend, please add your name to attendance list at the SHED
by 22th August.

Since 1975 the historic town of Thirlmere, approximately 90km southwest of Sydney, has been home to significant rail heritage collection, including over 100 rolling stock items, associated with the history of the railways in NSW.
