|Mark is still looking for volunteers to work the BBQ at the Church Carols by Candlelight this Saturday.
"We will start at 1730 hrs, putting up the tent then begin cooking at 1800. The timing is from 1830 to 1930, then cleanup ( I will bring the cleaning materials so that life is easy).
I have already bought the snags, onions and the extras. I will also get the bread from Woolies at Charnwood on Saturday morning.
Based on last year, we sold about 200 or so snags. My aim is to charge $2.50 and $1 for some bottled water we have.
If a sign for the prices and who we are could be made up that would be great."
Please contact him at
For the none military amoungst us he means he will start at 5:30pm, cook from 6pm to 7:30pm.
Whats happening at the Shed.
Dean has managed to acquire the services of some nice lads to clean up all the old tree branches that were out the front of the shed/community center, it cost a can of coke a tour of the shed. One of them was a keen shedder and really wanted to see what we were upto.
Bob has been working with a team who have now assembled the kitchen cupboards. They are not yet installed, but I believe we are waiting till the floor has been painted before securing them in place.
Trim has been installed above the roller door.
Installation of the toilet door has commenced. We may need it one the throne is connected.
Mark has been busy with his weed sprayer all round the shed so the green plants (some people call them weeds) will be gone soon and the gardeners can get serious about planting real stuff!
Check out the beautiful modelling job!
Gordon will order our Men's Shed shirts this week.
These will be for sale in near future, watch this space.
(thanks to Working Gear for helping out with the costs http://www.workingear.com.au )
Contact has been made with the Churches ITCrowd and it looks like our internet connection will be better than originally planned, we may also be getting a phone running off the church phone system.
